From the rolling hills that are great for runners and bikers, to the winding Licking river that invites canoeing and kayaking, to Kincaid Lake State Park that offers fishing, boating, hiking, and camping, to the local hiking trails allowing you to see and hear indigenous wildlife, to the companies and businesses who host exciting activities, make tasty treats, and sell unique products, POP will have something for everyone in the family. The morning will begin with the Daniel Boone Run for Statehood and the Joey Wells Memorial Kids Fishing Tournament at Kincaid Lake State Park. Thaxtons Canoes will have canoe and kayak rentals. Check out the hiking trails at Kincaid, Cedar Line Natural Trails, the Pendleton County Athletic Park, and Pendleton County Extension Center. Camp Northward will have its zipline open to the public. There will be guided tours of Punkyville. There are discounted rates for golf at Kincaid Golf Course and Pendleton Hills. The Red Barn Museum will be open to the public. The Pendleton County Farmers Market will be selling local goods. Local restaurants will have specials and discounts throughout the day. In the afternoon, Honey Hill Farm Petting Zoo will be at the Pendleton County Fairgrounds, along with a number of food trucks. Later in the afternoon there will be the 1st Annual POP Cruise In, with the first 50 entries getting goodie bags and dash plaques. The entire event will conclude with a free concert by the 50s/60s show band, the Belairs at the Griffin Center. The Pendleton County Tourism Council has put together a great lineup of events.
