Ohio River Paddlefest is recognized as the nation’s largest paddling celebration, with 2,000 participants traveling through downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky in canoes, kayaks and other human-powered craft. In 2021, the event celebrates its 20th year and will offer both its traditional 9-mile paddle and a half-distance (4.5-mile paddle). The paddle concludes with a Finish Line Festival featuring beer, music, food and conservation-related exhibits. The event is family-friendly. Tickets range from $50-$75 for adults and $20-$25 for youth. Event proceeds benefit Adventure Crew, which takes city teens in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky on free outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking and kayaking.
Also join us for an Outdoors For All Expo, a pre-party that will take place the night before on Friday, August 6. The all-new event will feature exhibits and demos from local parks, outdoor outfitters, adventure experts and environmentally minded organizations, plus live music, local beer and food trucks. Attendees can ride in a voyageur canoe, hang out in the hammock lounge or test ride a bike from a local outfitter. Held at Schmidt Recreation Complex, the site of Saturday’s Ohio River Paddlefest launch, pre-party is free and open to the public.
