Join seasoned performer Emiko Moore as she shares the traditional art of Kamishibai -- Japanese storytelling with colorful story boards. About the Presenter Emiko Moore, a freelance writer/producer is a resident of Lebanon, Ohio and enjoys storytelling, especially the art of Kamishibai (paper theater). She has shared this art form with children & parents in many schools and libraries, festivals, and cultural programs in the Cincinnati-Dayton area and has over 30 stories in her collections, including an original cherry blossom story by a local Japanese author. Emiko, her husband Mel and daughter, Miya initiated a movement to rebuild a public playground in Miyagi Prefecture in Japan after the 2011 Earthquake & Tsunami. They completed the project in Ishinomaki, Emiko's mother's hometown in 2014. Today Matsunami Park in Japan has a Friendship Park relationship with Miller Ecological Park. The Moore family is now working to create a Japanese-style Friendship Garden in Miller Ecological Park.
