This course is designed for personnel involved with the investigation, remediation, and over-site of hazardous waste sites, and to a lesser extent, response to an accident involving hazardous materials. It provides a refresher and update information needed to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER) and 40 CFR 264 or 265 annual RCRA refresher training. Sequence of topics to be covered: Explain OSHA, US EPA, US DOT, and NFPA regulations and updates Identify the methods and procedures for recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous substances Perform chemical profiling of unknown substances Demonstrate use of air monitoring equipment Select and use respiratory protective equipment Discuss the fundamentals of a basic decontamination and medical surveillance programs Explain the key elements of a site safety plan Select and use appropriate chemical protective clothing Course Outcomes: After completing this course participants will be more current with the ever changing environmental and safety regulations. In addition the participant will possess the basic skills to review and possibly update safety and health programs. The total cost of this course is $249.00 due prior to attendance.
