If you own a small business or market your brand, then you know first impressions matter. Good design of websites and print materials is the best way to leave a good first impression. This 6-week course is geared for the design novice. You will discover basic design principles and good versus bad design while creating your own business cards, event essentials, and more. The first class session will cover design basics and include an introduction to Canva and Adobe InDesign/Illustrator. You will learn CRAP design principles and the balance of imagery and text. This is a hands-on experience and each class will involve creating different design projects. The class will be held in a computer lab, but you can bring your own laptops with access to internet. About Your Instructor Brittany Love Fletcher has been doing desktop publishing (magazines and newspapers) for over 10 years.
